Tiger Woods’ ex-girlfriend Erica Herman taking Woods to court
Tiger Woods' ex-girlfriend Erica Herman has filed legal complaints against him over a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and her residency at his house in Hobe Sound, Florida.
Herman is seeking a court's judgment on the extent of the NDA, which she believes is unenforceable.
She is also suing for her right to seek damages for the remaining five years of an alleged oral tenancy agreement.
The NDA, which was signed on Aug. 9, 2017, states that any disputes, claims, or controversies shall be resolved by mandatory binding confidential arbitration.
Herman is pursuing a court's ruling to better understand the enforceability of the NDA and her obligations in relation to her relationship with Woods.
Herman cites the Speak Out Act, signed into law in December 2022, which prohibits NDAs agreed to before "a dispute arises involving sexual assault or sexual harassment in violation of federal, tribal or state law."
The civil cover sheet filed by her lawyer indicates the case involves allegations of sexual abuse.
